Journey Ready
Privacy policy
Journey Ready organizes travel information you choose to submit. This policy explains what information the service uses, what a connected ChatGPT account receives, and how retention and deletion work. It covers Claude too, when you connect Journey Ready there.
Journey Ready is owned and run by Inbuildy, LLC. Our founder, Chad Ruby, also owns Ruby Appraisals, the name on our ChatGPT listing. For support or a privacy request, email support@jrnyrdy.com.
You create a sign-in account by choosing Register on the Journey Ready sign-in page. That page opens when you connect Journey Ready in ChatGPT or Claude, when you sign in on your account page, or when you sign in to the iPhone app. Your Journey Ready account holds your trips and the booking text you submit. It is made the first time you sign in through ChatGPT, Claude, your account page or the iPhone app. On your account page you can see your account identifier, choose how long sources are kept, run source cleanup, or delete your account. You can also delete your account in the iPhone app.
Information used by Journey Ready
You choose which trip details and booking text to submit. You can submit them through ChatGPT or Claude, or type or paste them into the iPhone app. Journey Ready does not read your inbox. A separate email connector you authorize in ChatGPT has its own permissions. Journey Ready receives only the content you approve for transfer, not that connector’s inbox access or tokens.
| Information | How it is used |
|---|---|
| Trip and booking details | Trip names, destinations, dates, timezones, selected booking text and filenames, and any traveler names, contact details, booking references or locations in that content. Places you save to a trip in the iPhone app also count: their name, address, kind, day and time. These help organize your trip and identify the source of a travel fact. |
| Itinerary and source records | Extracted travel facts, uncertainty, gaps and conflicts, source versions, evidence excerpts and processing status. These support itinerary review and requested PDF or calendar files. |
| Account and sign-in information | The sign-in service’s registration form includes username, password and password confirmation, email, first name and last name fields. If you choose Forgot Password?, the sign-in service uses your email address to send you a link to pick a new password. It sends no other email. Journey Ready uses a sign-in identity, a random account identifier, permissions and session information to connect requests to the correct account and its trips. |
| Request history | Records of itinerary, source and export requests, approved changes, request identifiers, a digest of submitted arguments, related trip and source identifiers, and timestamps. These support audit history and prevent an identical retried write from creating duplicate content. |
| Shared trips | If you share a trip, the person you share it with can read everything on that trip in the iPhone app, including confirmation numbers, traveler names, notes and short quotes from your booking text. They cannot change it. They cannot see your other trips or your account settings. The share keeps the names shown in the app’s list of people on the trip. We also keep a record of who was added, who left and who was removed. That record uses a random member number, not a name or an email address. |
| Support messages | Your email address, message and information you choose to include help us understand and respond to your request. |
| Operational information | Hosting and sign-in services handle network requests, operational errors and recovery state. Depending on the error, logs may contain request metadata or content associated with a request. This information helps operate and troubleshoot the service. |
Submit only information needed for the trip and that you have permission to share. Remove payment-card information, government identifiers, medical information, passwords, access tokens and authentication codes from booking content. Account credentials belong only in the sign-in service. Automated content checks can miss sensitive details.
ChatGPT and other recipients
When you connect through OpenAI, account linking also uses the separate sign-in service. The sign-in permissions you approve can allow your sign-in account identifier and profile information to return to OpenAI. This account-linking exchange is separate from itinerary tool results.
When you request a Journey Ready tool action through ChatGPT, the selected result returns to OpenAI. Results can include your random account identifier, trip and booking information, source filenames and versions, evidence excerpts, and requested PDF or calendar files. The source-metadata tool returns filenames, versions and processing status; it provides no raw-email-body download. Itinerary evidence and generated files can contain personal travel information and submitted text, including all of a short submission.
OpenAI’s handling of conversations and connected-service results depends on your account’s terms and data settings. See OpenAI’s privacy policy, including its linked regional version where applicable. Journey Ready cannot delete copies in your OpenAI account or control OpenAI’s processing locations.
The Journey Ready iPhone app. You sign in to the app with the same sign-in you use for ChatGPT and this website. The app sends your trips, the booking text you paste and the places you save to our server. It has no ads and no analytics. The app keeps a sign-in token in the iPhone Keychain, for this phone only, and a saved copy of your trips so you can read them without a connection. The saved copy is left out of iPhone backups. If you allow it, the map can show where you are. Your location stays on your phone, and we never get it. Place suggestions come from Apple Maps as you type. The “Look it up on Google” button opens a Google search, and the Directions buttons open Google Maps or Apple Maps. Those follow their own privacy policies.
Claude, made by Anthropic. You can also connect Journey Ready in Claude. You sign in with the same Journey Ready sign-in and approve the connection. When you ask, Claude can read your trips and add, change, confirm, delete or bring back plans, and rename a trip or change its dates. Claude gets the same kind of results ChatGPT gets, such as your account identifier, trip and booking details, and short quotes from your booking text. Anthropic handles your Claude conversations under Anthropic’s privacy policy. Journey Ready cannot delete copies in your Anthropic account.
Linode/Akamai hosts the current Journey Ready server and stored service data in Chicago, United States. The Journey Ready sign-in service runs on that same host. Google/Gmail handles messages sent to the support address under Google’s privacy policy. Resend, a company in the United States, sends the password-reset email for the sign-in service. Resend gets your email address and the text of that one email. It keeps its own record of what it sent, under Resend’s privacy policy. Their processing locations and retention can differ from Journey Ready’s.
Authorized people operating Journey Ready may access service or support records to provide support, maintain the service or handle a verified request. Information may also be disclosed where applicable law requires it.
Journey Ready has no advertising integration, payment checkout, travel-booking transaction or outside model-inference service in the features described here. A separate connector or service you choose in ChatGPT has its own permissions and terms.
Retention and deletion
You can view and change the source-retention setting, run source cleanup and delete your Journey Ready account on your account page.
| Record | Retention behavior |
|---|---|
| Submitted booking sources | The source-retention setting defaults to 90 days and accepts 1–365 whole days. Cleanup is manual. Running source cleanup removes sources received before that cutoff and their related derived records. It also removes places saved before that cutoff. Changing the setting alone does not delete existing content. |
| Trips and request history | Trip records and trip audit history do not expire under the source-retention setting. They remain until you delete the trip in the iPhone app or delete your Journey Ready account. Deleting a trip removes its bookings, saved places, history and shares. Two content-free records stay until the account is deleted: retry receipts, and a note that a trip was deleted (a random number and the time, with no name and no text). When Claude deletes a plan for you, the plan waits in a trash for up to 30 days, and you can ask Claude to bring it back. After 30 days it cannot be brought back, and it is erased the next time cleanup runs or the service restarts. Source cleanup erases it sooner if the booking text it came from was removed. Deleting a plan does not delete that booking text. When you ask an assistant to delete a whole trip, Journey Ready keeps a copy for 30 days so you can undo it, then erases it. The same goes for plans, ideas and saved places an assistant removes. If you delete your account, these copies are deleted right away too. Claude and the iPhone app also keep a receipt for each change they make, with the old and new values. With a receipt, Claude can undo its own change. The iPhone app cannot undo one yet. When source cleanup runs, receipts older than your source-retention setting, and receipts for erased plans, lose those values. When you connect ChatGPT or Claude, we keep only two things: the name of the assistant and the day it last used your trips. The app uses them to show only the assistants you use. We delete both when you delete your account. |
| Deleted-account identity records | A limited record linking the sign-in identity to its Journey Ready account identifier, deletion status and identity audit timestamps remains after account deletion. It prevents an old credential from recreating that deleted account, so the same sign-in account cannot be used to open a new Journey Ready account. These records have no automatic expiry or purge. |
| Separate sign-in records | Your sign-in account (name, email and password) is kept by our sign-in service, apart from your trips. Deleting your Journey Ready account also deletes your sign-in account. Source cleanup does not. |
| Backups | The host uses Linode automatic backups. Live application deletion does not immediately erase backup copies; copies can remain until replaced. Manual snapshots, if created, are separate. |
| Logs and support correspondence | Service logs rotate by size, rather than a fixed number of days. Support messages remain in the support mailbox until removed. No fixed time-based retention period is set for these records. |
Deleting your Journey Ready account removes your trips and other travel data from the live app, deletes your sign-in account, and ends the ChatGPT and Claude connections that use it. It does not delete your OpenAI or Anthropic conversations, support emails, backups or files you downloaded. If the sign-in service is briefly down when you delete, we keep only your sign-in ID until it is removed, usually within a few minutes. Removing database rows does not guarantee secure erasure of every disk copy.
The hosting provider reports encrypted host disks. The travel database is not separately encrypted by the application. These facts do not establish the protection of every copy or recipient.
Your choices and requests
- Choose which trip details and selected booking text to submit. Content you do not submit is not available to Journey Ready for itinerary review.
- Review the connection permissions. They control which read and write functions can operate across trips in your signed-in Journey Ready account.
- Sign in to your account page to view your Journey Ready account identifier, choose a source-retention interval, run source cleanup, or confirm deletion of that account. In the iPhone app you can delete a trip, leave a trip that was shared with you, or delete your account.
- Signing out ends that website session. Disconnecting the connection or revoking permission does not itself erase stored trips or downloaded files.
- Email support@jrnyrdy.com with a privacy question or a request to access, correct or delete information. Briefly describe the request and whether it concerns your account or information submitted about you by another traveler. Include only the minimum information needed.
We must verify ownership or authority before acting on a request. Use your account page where it offers the action you need; do not send passwords, tokens, government identifiers or full booking documents to prove identity. We may need more information to locate the relevant records and verify the request.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive your personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a data-protection authority. Conditions and legal exceptions may apply.
Website cookies and audience
The Journey Ready website has no payment form, analytics script or third-party asset. The example itinerary on the home page stays in your browser. The sign-in service and Journey Ready use cookies necessary to complete sign-in and maintain sessions. Journey Ready’s sign-in-start cookie lasts five minutes, and its account-page session cookie lasts at most 15 minutes. Blocking these necessary cookies can prevent sign-in.
Journey Ready has no cross-site advertising or behavioral-tracking feature. No different behavior is configured for a browser’s Do Not Track signal.
Journey Ready is intended for general-audience travel organization, including eligible teen users, and is not directed to children under 13. ChatGPT’s eligibility requirements and applicable local requirements still apply. If you believe a child’s information was submitted in circumstances requiring additional protection, contact support.
Changes and contact
This page shows the policy’s effective date. We will update it to describe changes in Journey Ready’s data practices before those changes begin.
